The Queensland Highlanders would like to acknowledge the support of the Gambling Community Benefit Fund.
The Band's recent purchase of drum harnesses, kilt material (along with kilt making), sporran and glengarry badges, vests and pipe bag covers was made possible through funding from the Queensland Government's Gambling Community Benefit Fund.
The Band has also purchased a full set of new drums, including snares, tenors and a bass as part of this project. A major fund raising exercise by the current band members was conducted last year (2008) to cover the cost of purchasing the drums.
The Gambling Community Benefit Fund proudly provided funding for purchase of the following:
- Bolt of kilt material (Stewart of Appin)
- 15 kilts (hand crafted by Jeanne Robinson from Touch of Tartan)
- 15 Vests (Touch of Tartan)
- 20 Pipe Bag Covers (Touch of Tartan)
- 200 Badges (Precision Badges)
- 15 Drum harnesses

|
The Queensland Highlanders self funded the purchase of the following:
- 10 Snare Drums (Premier)
- 3 Tenor Drums (Premier)
- 1 Bass Drum (Premier)
